Research Governance Officer
Ms. Chikondi Ngwira is a health research professional with a BSc in Health Systems Management and an MSc in Global Health. She is a trained Clinical Research Associate (CRA) with extensive experience in coordinating clinical trials and observational studies and applying implementation science frameworks to strengthen research delivery and sustainability. In her current role as Research Governance Officer at TRUE, she supports the organization in fulfilling its sponsor responsibilities and provides oversight of multi-country clinical trials, ensuring strict adherence to international and national ethical and regulatory requirements. Her work focuses on safeguarding participant welfare and maintaining data integrity in line with International Council for Harmonization Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) standards. She also leads internal quality monitoring activities, embedding proactive systems to identify risks, ensure compliance, and maintain audit readiness across research projects. Passionate about community engagement, Ms. Ngwira actively involves stakeholders throughout the research process. By integrating implementation science principles into research governance, she strengthens institutional systems, promotes the uptake of research findings, and advances sustainable, evidence-based health interventions.
