Dr. Alinune Kabaghe is a medical doctor and clinical epidemiologist working in infectious disease research. Alinune is interested in understanding the epidemiology of infectious diseases in poor communities and utilising implementation research to contribute to the control of these diseases. He has vast experience working on field studies in malaria epidemiology as well as in clinical trials. He is currently the team leader for Majete Malaria Project. Additionally, he teaches epidemiology to Masters students and public health to medical students at the University of Malawi, College of Medicine. Alinune graduated with an MBBS from the University of Malawi, College of Medicine and a PhD in Medicine from the University of Amsterdam in Netherlands.
